Szendrödi uses the motto “Strengthening prevention. Networking supply. Empowering people.” to commit herself to fairer and more effective diabetes care. Her presidency will focus on the increased implementation of evidence-based guidelines, specific prevention for high-risk groups and the empowerment of vulnerable patients.
Digitalization is a key to future-proof care
She is particularly interested in digitalization in the healthcare sector. The combination of electronic diabetes record (eDA) and electronic patient record (ePA) is intended to improve transparency, coordination and emergency care. She is also calling for binding standards for healthy nutrition in educational institutions and clinics as well as nationwide screening for malnutrition.
