Effect of Treatment with Receptor Agonists on Muscle Mass

Through treatment with glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) and combination therapies, e.g. semaglutide or tirzepatide, persons with type 2 diabetes or obesity can significantly reduce their weight. But how does this significant weight loss affect the muscles? DZD researchers have addressed this question together with international colleagues.
