Young DZD researchers receive awards

Michael Laxy received the award for the best oral poster presentation titled “Effect of BMI on Health Care Costs: A Mendelian Randomization Study”, Sara Pedron was awarded second in the same category for a presentation titled “The Effect of Diabetes on Labor Market Participation Using Different Instrumental Variable Approaches”. Karl Emmert-Fees received an award for the second-best short-oral presentation titled “Cost-Effectiveness of a Collaborative Care Intervention for Diabetes Co-Morbid Depression in India: Analysis of the INDEPENDENT Trial”. The prices were awarded at the closing ceremony of the IDEG meeting on December 2^nd.
