DZD Partners
The DZD consists of five scientific member institutions (the partners), five associated partners and six project partners. Our incentive is to bring the results of diabetes research from the laboratory to society as quickly as possible (translation). The partners cover the entire spectrum of translational diabetes research.
The partner institutions of the DZD include centers of the Helmholtz and Leibniz Association, the Max Planck Society, university hospitals and universities.
Their focus is on the joint implementation of the translational research program, which is actively pursued in daily scientific life. The research stays offered to scientists at the various DZD partner institutes as well as regular workshops facilitate and intensify the interdisciplinary collaboration. DZD Grants are used to fund highly promising cross-location research projects and, with its attractive DZD NEXT Young Talent Program, the DZD promotes prospective medical and clinician scientists in the field of translational diabetes research and entrepreneurship and supports networking at an early stage.
