2nd Middle German Diabetes Day in Dresden

On March 5th, the DZD partner Paul Langerhans Institute of Helmholtz Zentrum München at the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus of TU Dresden (PLID) and the German Diabetes Aid – People with Diabetes, Regional Association Middle Germany (DDH-M-LVMD) will host the 2nd Middle German Diabetes Day.

An extensive program of lectures and workshops will be offered at the Center for Regenerative Therapies from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm to attendees who will include both people with diabetes and the interested public. This day has been planned by patients with patients and will present the latest developments in diabetes research. All questions related to diabetes can be discussed directly with experts of the DZD.
The lectures of Professor Birkenfeld, PD Dr. Ludwig, Dr. Speier and Professor Schwarz will cover the current state of diabetes research as well as modern forms of therapy and new approaches to self-help. The focus of the workshops will be on insulin treatment techniques with a pen (ICT) and an insulin pump (CSII) as well as blood glucose monitoring techniques and sources of error, and the significance of continuous blood glucose monitoring (CGM).
