Diabetes Information booth at the 14th Long Night of Science

As in recent years, the DZD partner Paul Langerhans Institute Dresden (PLID) participated actively with an information booth at the 14. Long Night of Science.

On June 10th, almost 2500 young and old science enthusiasts visited the CRTD between 6:00 pm to 1:00am. At the PLID booth, they had the chance to get an overview of the research activities for type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Besides the possibility to see several in vitro models through the microscope, the guests took part in tasting experiments or learned about the sugar content of various food products. Moreover, approximately 350 guests used the opportunity to determine their own blood glucose levels.
