diabinfo.de at BZgA Town Hall for Health Authorities

To mark World Diabetes Day on November 14, the Federal Center for Health Education (BZgA) is hosting a town hall meeting on the topic of “Preventing diabetes”. The national diabetes information portal diabinfo.de will also be presented at this online event.

diabinfo.de dedicates one of its three sub-portals to prevention. In addition to detailed information on diabetes prevention with a focus on the prevention of type 2 diabetes, you will also find content on other non-communicable diseases. There is often a link between diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, for example, and the measures to prevent them are often the same.

The BZgA meeting is primarily aimed at employees of health authorities, but other professional groups are also welcome.
The Town Hall will begin with an introduction to the diabetes surveillance at the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), which provides indicator-based data on diabetes incidence in Germany. The BZgA will then present the “Diabetes Network Germany” and the measures of interest to multipliers.

One of the most important measures is the national diabetes information portal “diabinfo.de”.  In addition to people with an increased risk of diabetes and people with diabetes, professionals in particular can also find comprehensible and quality-assured information here.
diabinfo.de will be presented by Dr. Astrid Glaser, Managing Director of the DZD and member of the diabinfo.de project lead. The portal is published by the DZD, Helmholtz Munich and the German Diabetes Center.
