DZD at the March for Science in Munich

About 3,000 people took to the streets in Munich on April 22nd to demonstrate for a free science. The DZD participated with an information stand at the event.

On Saturday, people around the world demonstrated in more than 600 cities to show their strong support for research. In Germany, the March for Science took place in 22 cities.

With the action, citizens, scientists, students and professors want to draw attention to the importance of scientific work and its achievements. In Munich many well-known scientists took part in the march – including the President of the Max Planck Society, Martin Stratmann, and the research director of the Deutsches Museum, Helmuth Trischler.
