DZD Speaker Andreas Birkenfeld in the Medicine Podcast 'abhoeren'

In recent years, the understanding of the disease diabetes mellitus has improved significantly - so there are not only new insights into the pathophysiology, but also the number of therapeutic options has increased significantly. Prof. Andreas Birkenfeld reports in the current editions of the podcast abhoeren on the basics and diagnostics as well as on the therapy of diabetes.

Birkenfeld is the Medical Director of the Department of Diabetology, Endocrinology and Nephrology at the University Hospital Tübingen and Head of the Institute for Diabetes Research and Metabolic Diseases (IDM) of Helmholtz Munich at the DZD site in Tübingen. He is also speaker of the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD).
