On October 1st a symposium will take place in Berlin highlighting the advances that have been made in diabetes research. The symposium, organized by the Alliance for European Diabetes Research (EURADIA), is entitled “Advances in Diabetes Research: Focus on the Patient”. It is geared not only towards specialists in the field, but especially towards people without a scientific background.
Among the well-known speakers scheduled to give talks on various topics related to clinical diabetes research is Professor Hans-Ulrich Häring, a board member in the DZD and medical director of the Department of Medicine IV of the University of Tübingen. He will give a talk on “Clinical research centers of excellence: the German model”.
The symposium will take place from 3to 5 pm directly before the opening event of the 48th annual meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) 2012 in Naunyn Hall of Messe Berlin South. Admission is free, but an EASD nameplate is required. If you are not registered for the EASD and need a nameplate, please contact: Sarah.HillsnoSp@email@example.com or Phone +44 (0)1403 276363.
