Working in a research network allows you to advance your own career thanks to an existing network. In keynote speeches, representatives of the German Centers for Health Research (DZG), the Helmholtz Information & Data Science Framework and the Cluster of Excellence Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST) will explain their personal career paths and present the advantages of interdisciplinary and cross-institutional research networks.
In short talks and a panel discussion, the scientists and experts will discuss the career factor of science networks with the participants:
- How do research networks serve as a career stepping stone?
- What skills should scientists bring to interdisciplinary and cross-institutional research networks?

German Academic International Network (GAIN)
The German Academic International Network (GAIN) is the network for academics from Germany who are mobile around the world. The focus is on North America. With a diverse program, GAIN has been supporting them since 2003 in maintaining contacts with German academic institutions, preparing them for their return to Germany as a research location and helping them to articulate their interests to political decision-makers.
