In the opening panel discussion, “The role of the NUM in the clinical research system in 10 years: Where does it need to go?” will be highlighted. DZD Executive Board member Prof. Martin Hrabě de Angelis will participate on behalf of the German Centers for Health Research (DZG). The DZG stand for successful translational health research and have established efficient research infrastructures, indication-specific study platforms and biobanks that are tailored to the needs of research. They are in close contact with the NUM in order to make use of synergies for the development of a joint research data space and the establishment of a national, coordinated strategy for data use in clinical research.
One focus of the event is on parallel sessions that are organized “by the community for the community”. The aim is to bring the various sub-groups and stakeholders from different research institutions active in the NUM into a professional exchange in order to discuss the common challenges in the research data infrastructure, the user perspective and industry integration. In the session “Impulses and exchange for the efficient design of decentralized administrative processes in large research networks”, DZD Managing Director Dr. Astrid Glaser will contribute to the format “Exchange of individual sub-communities in the NUM” with the experience of the German Centers for Health Research.
