The funding management department of the DZD handles the financial resources made available by public grant providers and is responsible for the financial administration and transfer of grants in cooperation with the partner locations, associated partners and project partners. It monitors compliance with the guidelines for project funding, provides assistance with project management applications and checks the interim and final audit reports on the use of funds that have been allocated.

As grants manager, Ms. Sylvia Wzietek is responsible for creating and ensuring compliance with the overall budget of the DZD (institutionally and project funding). Dr. Florian Mertes is Head of the Funding Management Department and Ms. Lydia Henneberger is the project manager. Ms. Mariya Ilieva-Ganterer and Mr. Osama Othmann are responsible for the administrative implementation of the funding, while Dr. Cornelia Schönbauer and Dr. Amelie Ebke are the research associates of the department.
