The executive boards of the German Society for Endocrinology (DGE), the German Diabetes Association (DDG) and the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD) would like to comment on the draft law to amend "the Animal Welfare Act and the Animal Products Trade Prohibition Act", as the planned amendment is expected to have a significant negative impact on biomedical research.
A corresponding statement was also published by the German Centers for Health Research, of which the DZD is a member.
