The 60-page brochure provides an overview of groundbreaking research results, highlights of 2016, funding programs for young scientists, and interesting facts and figures about the DZD. In addition, under the heading “Science – Focus on the patient” the report informs readers about how research in the DZD benefits patients.
Last year’s groundbreaking research results by DZD scientists suggest that epigenetic inheritance could be another important cause of the worldwide dramatic increase in diabetes prevalence.
