Research Coordination Board
At the beginning of 2013 the Research Coordination Board (RCB) was established as a scientific-strategic body with representatives of the DZD partners. In 2015 the RCB was expanded to include one member per associated partner. The task of the RCB is the coordination and further development of the scientific DZD program.
Due to its high degree of expertise in the various focus areas of research on type 1 and type 2 diabetes, the RCB is ideally positioned to especially take into account the translational research approach. The strategies defined here are and discussed with all scientists at DZD workshops and then implemented.
To deepen the expertise in certain areas, guests specialized in the corresponding thematic areas can be invited from among the DZD partners.
