Short movie: 100 years of insulin - a milestone in medicine

A short movie on 100 years of insulin has been produced by the DZD partner German Diabetes Center (DDZ). On the occasion of the anniversary year, the video informs about the historical background and the perspectives of a medical milestone.

In 1921, Canadian scientists Frederick Banting and Charles Best succeeded in isolating the hormone insulin and making it available to people with diabetes. To date, these innovations have not only saved millions of lives, but also significantly improved the living conditions of those affected. But where does diabetology stand today? The video of the DDZ provides answers and reviews.
